Inés Regina Magaña Ruiz
Choir master
Inés Regina Magaña Ruiz has been part of IHAVOC since September 2024, serving as a choir teacher. Her involvement in this transformative project holds profound significance, as she believes in the power of singing to foster values, build self-esteem, and nurture sensitivity in children, young people, and adults alike. For Inés, IHAVOC represents an opportunity to create a meaningful impact on society, making her role an essential contribution to the organization’s mission.
What Inés enjoys most about her work is witnessing the children develop not only musically but also emotionally. She takes pride in seeing them gain a sense of belonging and confidence in themselves, and she finds great fulfillment in guiding them through a process that can transform their lives. These moments of growth and self-discovery in her students are what make her work truly rewarding.
Inés’s own experience as a member of a choir during her childhood deeply informs her teaching. The lessons she learned through that experience have stayed with her and serve as a foundation for her approach to working with children today. She believes that the success of her role is reflected in how the children begin to embody and share the values and positive attitudes cultivated in the choir, extending these lessons into their everyday lives.
Looking ahead, Inés is inspired by the potential of IHAVOC to provide a safe and nurturing space for children and young people across the country. She dreams of a future where every child involved in the choir finds a place of growth, learning, and acceptance, free from criticism. Whether or not these children choose to pursue music professionally, she hopes they carry the values and memories from their IHAVOC experience throughout their lives. For Inés, this project is not just about music—it’s about building a brighter future for everyone it touches.
