Choir master

Patricia Lizette Sánchez Reyes started with IHAVOC in October, 2022 and is the choir master for El Ejercito de Salvacion Hogar de Niños.

Born and raised in Guadalajara, Jalisco, she started her musical journey at the age of 8 at the UDG Experimental Music Workshop. Here she attended piano-oriented children's and youth workshops up until the age of 12.

At the age of 13, Patricia Lizette entered the Basic Music program at the UDG, and when she turned 15 she entered the Technical Music program at the UDG. During both programs she continued to stick with piano as her orientation.

In 2019, at the age of 18, she entered the Bachelor of Music with Orientation in Choral Direction at the UDG. That same year, in May, she joined a musical project called Molto Vivace - Coro y Orquesta (Choir and Orchestra), where she started as a chorus girl, later they asked her to work as a choral director.

In December 2019, she met the teacher Wilmia Verrier and in February 2020 I auditioned to sing in the choir that was about to be formed: Mayahuel Women's Choir, of which she is still a part of today.

Patricia Lizette is currently completing her degree in Music with orientation in choral direction.

She feels that I Have a Voice Orphans Choir is a great opportunity to share with children the beauty of art, especially choral singing. It also provides her the opportunity to grow and develop a greater level of experience as a choir director and teacher.

In the future, she would love for an even stronger children's and youth choral community to be created here in Guadalajara, and for this project to continue to grow more and more throughout the country.
