Priscilla María Chaves Ramírez started with I Have a Voice Orphans Choir at Nuestros Pequeños Hermanos Cuernavaca in 2024.
She fosters respect, humility, and self-confidence in her students while providing them with a transformative introduction to the world of music. Her passion lies in creating a supportive and collaborative environment where camaraderie flourishes, and children find joy in their collective voices.
Priscilla’s expertise is backed by a rich history of performance and teaching. She has led children’s and youth choirs, such as Coral de María, and has participated in high-profile performances, including concerts at Mexico City's Palacio de Minería and the Great Concert “FOR PEACE” at the Ocampo Theater. As a teacher at institutions like Loyola School and Colegio Nuevo Continente, she has inspired students of all ages to explore music and develop their talents.
Priscilla's favorite aspect of her work is building meaningful relationships with her students, ensuring that every interaction is positive and renewing their connection through each class. She measures her success through the quality of these relationships, the progress of her ensembles, and the enduring impact she leaves on her students.
Looking ahead, Priscilla envisions generations of alumni who fondly remember their time in the choir and carry with them the lessons and passion they discovered. Some may even pursue music professionally, inspired by the foundation she helped them build.
With a blend of pride, dedication, and compassion, Priscilla continues to guide her students, leaving a legacy of music and heartfelt connections.
